Service Description
Scurry Dog Workshops Our Scurry Dog Workshops are designed to help handlers and dogs dive deeper into specific Scurry Dog skills, games, and concepts in a fun, supportive, and practical learning environment. Whether you are new to Scurry Dog or already progressing through the Games, these workshops provide an opportunity to build skills, improve teamwork, and develop a more thoughtful, engaged dog both on and off the Scurry Dog field. Unlike regular classes, Scurry Dog Workshops focus on a single topic or skill area in greater depth. Topics may include individual Scurry Dog Games, retrieves, directional skills, distance handling, steadiness, scenting and hunting behaviours, arousal regulation, motivation, problem solving, or the foundation skills that support successful Scurry Dog work. Workshops may also explore how Scurry Dog can help improve real-life skills for pet dogs, sporting dogs, and “spicy” dogs alike. Each workshop runs for approximately 3 hours and includes practical coaching, demonstrations, discussion, and troubleshooting in a supportive and engaging environment. Workshops are available with either: • **Working Spots (Limited)** – Attend with your dog and participate directly in training exercises and coaching. **$165-185 (topic dependent) per handler + dog** • **Auditing Spots** – Attend without a dog and learn through observation, demonstrations, discussion, and handler coaching. **$65 per person (Early Bird prices will be offered)** Working spots are intentionally limited to ensure each team receives individual coaching and support throughout the workshop. Scurry Dog is about far more than simply teaching dogs to retrieve. The Games encourage dogs to think, problem solve, regulate arousal, and work cooperatively with their handler in a highly reinforcing and fulfilling way. Many handlers find the skills developed through Scurry Dog carry over beautifully into everyday life, helping dogs become calmer, more engaged, and more responsive outside of training as well. Please see our full terms, conditions and indemnity waiver on our website here: https://www.animalhausbehaviour.com.au/t-c-s-page Scurry Dog Service Payment Policies: Full payment is due at the time of booking to secure your spot in your chosen class / workshop / course. If you cannot make a service you have booked you should notify us in writing as soon as possible on hello@animalhausbehaviour.com.au Cancellation: • More than 48 hours notice - you will receive a refund minus $70 administration fees unless a replacement attendee can be found. • Less than 48 hours - no refund is available unless the place in class/workshop can be filled by another paying attendee. If no replacement attendee can be found then your full fees will be non-refundable. Rescheduling / Transfers: Rescheduling or transferring into another service is dependent on available services and entirely at our discretion. Transfers are not available less than 72 hours before the commencement of your service. Reactive Dogs: Please note that unless otherwise stated in the service information, Scurry Dog classes and workshops are group sessions. This means that other dogs will be visible throughout the session. If your dog is anxious / nervous or reactive to other dogs or people this may not be suitable for them. Please contact us to discuss alternatives though has we love working with Spicy Dogs and will happily help you find an alternative option! hello@animalhausbehaviour.com.au Dogs + Handlers: Each dog attending will need their own individual handler. One person cannot bring along two dogs. By registering for our event you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions of business including our Indemnity waiver.
