Scurry Dog "Retrieve" Mini-Workshop
Service Description

Scurry Dog Retrieve Mini-Workshop These workshops are small group sessions (4 - 6 dogs) that go for 1.25 - 2 hours (pending numbers). This Retrieve workshop covers off on skills and behaviours necessary for 'The Retrieve' game. This can include: Hold (an object / toy / dummy), Release an object, send outs, hunting for objects, marked retrieves and some 'foundation' skills such as heel, steadiness and recall. Our Mini-workshops have a focus on teaching skills for the Scurry Dog games! Each workshop will have a theme or game they are focused on ie: Retrieve workshop, Stop workshop, Recall workshop, Foundations skills workshop etc. In each workshop we will have a series of activities, games and drills designed to help you and your dog develop the skills necessary for Scurry Dog! These activities will be modifiable to ensure they can be adjusted to suit each dog regardless of breed, prior skills, or physical capabilities. These mini-workshops do not have a set curriculum, each session will be different to prior sessions. There are lots of skills and activities to work on and so I will be setting up different drills and games each session! Additionally I can modify exercises to you and your dogs skill level, so you can level up as you go even if you have done a Retrieve workshop previously. The goal of these workshops is for you and your dog to go away with activities you can continue to practise at home to build your skills with the different behaviours needed for Scurry Dog. Dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds are welcome! These are group workshops and dogs will be working simultaneously. Please keep this in mind when booking if you have a nervous, anxious or reactive dog. Please contact us if you are unsure if this event will be suitable for your dog. Equipment you may need for the workshop (a detailed email will be sent out a few days before your session confirming what you need): - Well fitted flat collar or harness. - A standard length leash - A long leash (5-10m) - Lots of small, high-value treats - Your dog's favourite toy/s - A water bowl / water (for you and your dog) - A mat / placeboard (if you have one / your dog is trained to use one) Missed out on a spot in an upcoming workshop? Cancellation Policy
Please see our full terms, conditions and indemnity waiver on our website here: https://www.animalhausbehaviour.com.au/t-c-s-page Scurry Dog Service Payment Policies: Full payment is due at the time of booking to secure your spot in your chosen class / workshop / course. If you cannot make a service you have booked you should notify us in writing as soon as possible on hello@animalhausbehaviour.com.au Cancellation: • 72hrs or more before service commencement - full refund minus transaction fees • 48 - 71 hours before service commencement - balance of fees minus $65 administration fee and transaction fees • Less than 48 hours - no refund is available unless the place in class/workshop can be filled by another paying attendee. If no replacement attendee can be found then your full fees will be non-refundable. Rescheduling / Transfers: Rescheduling or transferring into another service is dependent on available services and entirely at our discretion. Transfers are not available less than 72 hours before the commencement of your service. Reactive Dogs: Please note that unless otherwise stated in the service information, Scurry Dog classes and workshops are group sessions. This means that other dogs will be visible throughout the session. If your dog is anxious / nervous or reactive to other dogs or people this may not be suitable for them. Please contact us to discuss alternatives though has we love working with Spicy Dogs and will happily help you find an alternative option! hello@animalhausbehaviour.com.au Dogs + Handlers: Each dog attending will need their own individual handler. One person cannot bring along two dogs. By registering for our event you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions of business including our Indemnity waiver.
